Looking for the source code of MP3dirs.exe

there is a link to a github repository, but it has been deleted.

any chance someone has the source? i would like to see exactly what this .exe does and how and possibly modify and improve it.

Old PC Scene cracks and releases .nfos / etc...

Hi guys, I write this here because I think there are some old dudes here and maybe someone is interested,
I've curating old cracking scene releases from MSDOS times, maybe you remember some names as UCF2000, Phrozen Crew, CORE, TRSI, Razor, Damn, etc, etc … That kind of stuf… Apart of for historic and preservation purposes, because I was part of that scene in some way and well…

By now I am only interested in MSDOS releases (I've curated a ton of DOS material these years, btw)

Anyway, reading all about .srr I thought about preserving all these releases as you do, before I was keeping contents, not specially aware original releases. So I am focused in this now.

I have tons of material already (thanks archive.org and ftpsearch services…), and many files to curate and catalog.

If anyone is intersted in this idea and want to give suggestions, send me files or getting my files, just ask,

Getting RAR5 not supported whatever I try to reconstruct

I tried to reconstruct several games both with cmd line pysrr and srrGUI 0.7 but I'm getting RAR5 not supported (exit code 99) whatever game I try.

Some examples:
Cloudbuilt-CODEX
The_Legend_of_Korra-FLT
ONI.2nd.EDITION-ADiSO

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

All-in-one working pyrescene/srrGUI directory with curated WinRAR versions

A private tracker user has just done the work to figure out which WinRAR 5.x versions are needed for pyrescene/srrGUI, testing for those which have duplicate outputs. Since somebody else did the same for the 2.x through 4.x previously, we now have the complete set of WinRAR versions needed without having any dupe entries. So it's possible to now upload a complete working directory of pyrescene/srrGUI instead of needing to download a bunch of separate files, needing to preprardir the WinRAR executables and manually cull unneeded versions.

Hi,
I try to play with release not in DB.
I've NFO, SFV, few original RARs and full ISO (CRC32 is the same according to last RAR part)

I've tried to use rerar but it dosn't seems to work well with compression and produces wrong files.
Is there any other way I could rebuild release? Even manually?

Hello, I'm kinda new to contributing to srrDB but I totally love it. I am a data archivist and collect scene releases already, so I thought why not help out?

Anyway, I was adding some .srr files and noticed that pyReScene does not log .zip or .diz files.

For example, here's iSkysoft.iTransfer.v4.3.1.MacOSX.Cracked.MERRY.XMAS-ARN.

The .zip files in question are, what I would assume, from the original source.

Here's a directory listing:

When uploading and also inspecting the .srr file I noticed the .zip files are not catalogued. Inside each zip is one part of the rar.

Here's a breakdown of aitra431.zip:

etc. etc. Extracting every zip will give you the rars you need to make up your main content.

And for the record the file_id.diz and arn.nfo you keep seeing are the same in every .zip and in the main dir. I have seen this several times in the past. Kinda strange, but ok.

In closing, if you could put .zip and .diz support on the pyReScene roadmap, if even possible, it would be truly appreciated!

Hello I am new member. I've read the tutorials and done step by step. But when I wrote this line "srr Bayonetta.Update.1-CODEX.srr -o srr Bayonetta.Update.1-CODEX -p", I received "Input file not found" Error. srr file is created by pyrescene auto 0.6 and I used the same version. What should I do? thanks and sorry for my bad English.

When trying to reconstruct Wargame.Red.Dragon-CODEX, I found that having:

1996-09-02_rar200.exe
1997-03-12_rar201.exe
1997-09-16_rar202.exe

…in the RAR directory caused srrGUI to bug out and fail to progress to trying later versions. Those RAR executables would still be running in Task Manager even after srrGUI errored out. Even though the srrGUI log said it tried an entire list of 2.x versions before erroring out, it doesn't actually try them.

Removing those RAR executables allowed srrGUI to proceed normally.

Reconstructing Grim.Fandango.Remastered.Update.v1.2.2-CODEX

Trying to reconstruct Grim.Fandango.Remastered.Update.v1.2.2-CODEX using pyReScene-0.7-w32 and srrGUI v1.2.1. The process completes successfully but always the file has wrong CRC. I have checked all the files with srrDB and the CRC is a match. Any ideas ??

Hi,

Creedence_Clearwater_Revival-Box_Set-6CD-2001-TNS

For this release I uploaded an SRR file but the files do not get displayed on srrdb.com
I think the problem is the filenames, they are the same but in another directory (CD1/CD2/etc.).
They get overwritten because of this.

It has:
CD1/00-creedence_clearwater_revival-box_set-6cd-2001-tns.sfv
CD2/00-creedence_clearwater_revival-box_set-6cd-2001-tns.sfv
CD1/00-creedence_clearwater_revival-box_set-6cd-2001-tns.m3u
CD2/00-creedence_clearwater_revival-box_set-6cd-2001-tns.m3u

Is this a bug in the website or in the generator (pyReScene Auto 0.7)?

is there a way to use the .srs file you get from a .srr file to eventually get to the original file?
lets say a .mp3 file

example 01-2_seconds-3459a6be.srs is 72kb original file is around 5.5mb

pyrescene can't produce SRR for folder with .log file inside

I think I found a bug in the recent pyrescene 0.7. Say, I try to make SRR for a folder with any .log file in it (even empty one):

 .\pyrescene.exe "C:\Users\Admin\Desktop\Test\" --best -rd 

The program starts to proceed the files and then stops on this error:

 Temporary directory: C:\WINDOWS\Temp\SRR-puw7p_fk C:\Users\Admin\Desktop\Test Exception ignored in: <generator object get_release_directories at 0x03564508> RuntimeError: generator ignored GeneratorExit Traceback (most recent call last): File "pyrescene.py", line 1780, in <module> File "pyrescene.py", line 1680, in main File "pyrescene.py", line 916, in generate_srr TypeError: startswith first arg must be str or a tuple of str, not bytes 

Everything goes well, if I remove .log file from the folder. I have reproduced this on a test folder with one .sfv, few .flac's and one .log file.

srrGUI creates RAR Files in /temp but does not copy/rename them to Output Dir

I am trying to recreate RAR files for several PS3 releases with srrGUI. I am using Win10 in VMware Fusion on MacOS. After finishing (as far I can see) all files in temp are gone and the Output dir only contains nfo, sfv and a tiny rar file. Did I miss something?

Status of RAR5/ZIP support?
